This weekend in Durban

A real varied bunch of events are happening in Durban this weekend. We start off with tonight, there’s the following:

Umhlanga’s first night market kicks off tonight. It’s from 6pm-ish at Grenada Square and promises to be quite lovely. I’ve been looking forward to it.

  • The Litchi Orchard Night market is also being held tonight.
  • The SA Bloggers launch is happening at the Xef on 124 Florida Road

On Saturday morning its our regular Durban Food Market at the  Hellenic Hall near Riverside.

Sunday brings us a really fun Wildlife Walk happening in the morning. It’s a fundraiser to raise awareness and gain support to pass a UN resolution to protect animals trapped in war zones, making wilful destruction of natural areas and captive animals a war crime. This is a wonderful initiative. And its a lovely walk to do anyway.

Sunday is also the day for the lovely Wonder Market, so when you are done walking the promenade you can swing by there for some chow and killer lemonade.

I really love your blog, not only for the awesome food (I love food and cooking!) but also because your Durban happenings list keeps me motivated to get the money together to return in November. I walk 5-6ks every couple days and I would have loved to have done this walk!

Thanks so much! Glad you enjoy đŸ™‚ You must definitely make your way back to our lovely little village asap!
