The Durban Foodie Weekend

Wow, we have had an incredible few weeks in Durbs, with all the food events happening. Last weekend we had the launch of Rivertown and with it the new market called The Morning Trade. We also enjoyed a few pop-up restaurants and discovered that Durban has an urban rooftop farm. In the spirit of that momentum we have a few more exciting things to look forward to this weekend. Starting with:

This is a fun and awesome event to raise much-needed funds for the Open Door Crisis Care Centre. It’s an epic ladies (and men in ladies’ wear) braai-off in the spirit of Women’s Day, seared meaty things and raising awareness and funds for an excellent cause. It’s from 1pm at the Rivertown Beer Hall.

Also happening at Rivertown is a list of the following events:

There will be gourmet grub and a very wide variety of all the crafty, hopsy goodness from around the province and country.
