What is Taste of Durban?
This is an event that has been going for a couple of years nationally. It is a showcase and sampling of some of the best food in the city, along with plenty of drinks options (wine, craft beer, spritzers, liqueurs, cocktails, soft drinks) to keep you well oiled while you feast. You purchase tasting plates of delicious food, sample wines, spirits and other drinks and participate or watch cooking-related events and demonstrations. I love it because it is entirely food & drink focused. It is my favourite event of the year.
Where is Taste of Durban?
As per last year, it will be hosted at Suncoast, where there is plenty of secure parking. Parking at Suncoast is R10.
When is Taste of Durban?
It will be hosted on the weekend of the 25 – 27 of July. Each day will have a Taste session of 4 hours during the day and 4 hours during the evening. Tickets sold are per session.

How does Taste of Durban Work?
Once you walk past the entrance you buy a booklet of ToD currency. This year it is Scoins. You pay for everything at the event with the currency. You can purchase currency with when you buy your ticket. The food you purchase are tasting plates. Some vendors will have credit card facilities as well.
